2 Days, 1 Night: Pai city and Jungle Experience

Lanna Discovery operates a unique tour package to Pai.

We take you on a trip to picturesque Pai and surrounding villages. Visit Pai city, Walking Street and the local temple, Wat Phra That Mae Yean, with views over Pai from its eastern mountain. Go on a trekking experience, past Pai river and local farming communities, to the Jungle & an unseen Waterfall. Stay overnight at our private Guesthouse a short drive from Pai town.

Jungle Trekking

We drive down a six kilometer road, past incredible landscapes, and local farmers tending fields of garlic & sticky rice, towards the Huachang Jungle. We disembark at the Jungle entrance and start our trek.

Enormous banana trees abound in this area (the bark is used by local people to flavour Thai curries). We trek through the jungle, along streams and past copious wildlife. Walking through ankle-deep fast-running water, you're feet are sure to get wet! We climb over areas that are hard to cross and reach the Waterfall in time for lunch. You can refresh yourself with an exhilarating swim beneath the waterfall!

Our local Travel Guide will prepare an unusual meal for you. Using bamboo, sticky rice and meat will be cooked on a makeshift fire. Water is placed inside the bamboo in the lower section and a hole is made to the upper bamboo section, so hot steam can rise and steam-cook our sticky rice and meat. We later trek back to the four-wheel-drive vehicle and head back to our Guesthouse. Return journey to Chiang Mai is made by mini-bus and is included.
