One day trekking is convenient, often starting at 9 a.m. with a local guesthouse or hotel pick-up and returning to Chiang Mai at around 5 p.m.
You can ride elephants in their camp and trek to a local waterfall and swim nearby. You can visit a local tribal village and enjoy a guided walkabout. You can zipline across the Maetaeng River in a cage. White water rafting is also popular and will get you closer to nature in a very different way. It's a fun-packed and varied day out.
The two days, one night, and the three day treks, provide the luxury of spending more time at each location. You can truly soak up the experience; walk around & take more photos. You're not trying to cram everything into a single day. We recommend the longer treks as they provide more memorable experiences.
You also get to stay overnight in the local tribal community or in a Jungle Camp, and enjoy the magic of the Jungle in the evening. This extra feature can often "make the experience" for many people who go on a Chiang Mai trek.
Many different types of treks are available, so a trekking experience can be chosen for you that match your requirements. Some customers would enjoy visiting the famous "Long-neck" village, but others prefer a greater focus on activities such as visiting an elephant camp, rafting and trekking out to a good waterfall, or two! So if you have a special request, please let us know!
We also design our own treks. This allows for complete flexibility. You can choose to spend three hours at the elephant habitat instead of a quick hour. Take the longer 10km white water rafting journey down the Maetaeng River, instead of the 3km one most treks use. Pick your tribal village or Jungle Camp for your overnight stays. Eco trekking or adventure trekking. The whole itinerary is completely flexible. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
Furthermore, we cater to larger groups of friends and corporate team building trips. You can travel as a group, decide together what activities you most wish to include and over how many days. Our team has many years' experience as tour guides throughout the surrounding Chiang Mai and Pai areas. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
